44 Mag and Lil Gun
« on: October 25, 2012, 03:07:56 AM »
I think there was some discussion of this in another thread.  I called Hodgdon and asked why they have 44 mag pistol data but no rifle data for Lil Gun.  He told me it was simply the rifle data was compiled before Lil Gun was developed and they didn't have the test rifle anymore.  I asked him which he liked better in a 44 mag rifle H110 or Lil Gun.  He said he liked Lil Gun better, little more velocity, less pressure, and cleaner.

I've only had Lil" Gun a short while, and haven't tried it in the .44.  I have used it in the .32-20 and I like it.  I found it better than H110.  What the man told you is correct for what I've tried.  I just got 1680 and haven't tried that yet.  It would have to go some to improve on the Lil' Gun.
