Socialism has nothing to do with gun control.
Since socialism is government takeover of everything in the private sector...I would have to say that includes owning guns. And land, and businesses, and money, and all basic liberties. Guns are outlawed by governments mostly so they can't be taken over by their own people when they become to large and under their own control, instead of the people's control.
And if your talking Brittan...they have a long history of trying to take over lots of people and places, including this place we live in...they also wanted to control guns here at one time and tax us. We whipped them and sent them home, with a very small amount of patriots. Then we formed a republic.

It seems socialism wrecks a lot of things when it gets out of hand. Including guns, sooner or later. I notice the states with the most socialism do not let their citizens carry guns...in some cases, they can't own guns at all. I do not think this is odd that the states taken over by progressive socialism are all this way, it's not just bad luck.
