Lost a good friend and brother in Christ. 66 years old, life member of the NRA, certified ccw instructor, Harley rider, member of U.P Whitetails and a deacon in our church. Lou was the real deal. He said what he believed on issues plain and upfront, lived it out and was well respected because of that.
Lou had probably close to 100 guns of various types. Harleys, hot rods etc...but he would tell everyone that while he enjoyed these things, they were just stuff, they ment nothing compared to his love for God.
Just a week before he died of internal bleeding he had met with one of our Pastors and was concerned with how we might draw more unbelievers into the church to hear the gospel. A week later Lou was the reason that many came to Redemption Hill Church in Kingsford, to his funeral, and heard the gospel plain and simple.
We have lost a solid believer and friend. A good reminder for me that every man's days are numbered and I need to make each day count for Someone bigger than myself.
