Bismuth Shot

Hey, does anyone load with bismuth and how is it compared with lead and steel shot? I' m not too happy using steel shot on ducks and am using an old 97 pump.

I've loaded bismuth , and it's not any cheaper than just buying the factory loaded rounds. It does do a much better job than steel, not quite as good as the hevishot, and sure a long ways from the old magnum lead loads.

I haven't used it, but I read somewhere that is was brittle like an over baked cookie.

I have used it and i find it better than steel. What I like better is tungston matrix which I find is close the hevi-shot in preformance.
