scoped TC big boar.58

i just put a scope on my tc big boar .58, i got this base at a gun show. its off set to the left and is a non tap base. i put a older weaver 2.5x on it to see how it shoots with RB and mini ball. i can bench it and try different loads to find out what shots best. if it shoots good i may put a better scope on it. i own two other .58,s ,but neither are easy to scope. eastbank

 Looks pretty darned good considering its a scope on a traditional ML. I like the low slung look and you could't have picked a much better scope. The big bore .58 was my old scoutmasters favorite and I spent quite a few hours at the range running back and forth either lighting kitchen match's for him to try and snuff out or setting them in clothespins for him ti try to light. His was a late 80's flinter and it was all I could do to hit a coke can at the same 50ft distance. He loved shooting roundballs out of his.  J

I've never seen one scoped. I have 4 different .58cal rifles because I could NOT find a BIG BOAR!! However the St. Louis Hawken, Buffalo Hunter, & Enfield Musketoon are nice company for my Zouave. I use the 577611 heavy skirted Lyman minie in the 'Toon & Hawken. The Zouave likes the Old Style 575213 minie which also has a heavy skirt. I us 90 grs powder behind the minies. The Buffalo hunter shoots a PRB quite well. You gun looks brand new. Where'dja git it?

HG, i got it on the internet,a buy it now for 150.00. i added a new photo,looking down on the rifle and scope to show how its mounted on the left side a little without interfering with the hammer. i don,t know who made the scope mount. eastbank.
