WASHINGTON -- In a hastily convened press conference, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke announced Monday night that the ConEd explosion in NYC had completely destroyed the underground vault holding all of Germany's gold reserves, thereby nullifying all recent German attempts at gold repatriation.
The WSJ's Jon Hilsenrath reports the gold reserves were not [size=100%]insured[/size].

Did you read the Spiegel article. Interesting IMO, at least someone over there has the Stones to demand answers. The idea that the owner NOT being allowed to see their gold is ridiculous. The phrase Possession is ninety % etc rings very true there. Considering who owns and controls the Fed Reserve Bank would be sufficient not to let me sleep peacefully if it was my "stuff" there.
 
Who controls access/ right to inspection to Fort Knox??
