I have a model 24 that was my fathers game getter when he was a young boy in Iowa. Chambered in .22 short. It is the 1st firearm that I ever fired and is very accurate. I recently took it along to the range and found that it seems to like and be more accurate with non-copper plated plain lead rounds over the copper plated ones. I fired 50 rounds of each - alternating each loading. Both were new er Winchester brand with the same bullet weight. Kind of a head scratcher.
