Did republicans shoot themselves in the foot by not voting?
« on: November 08, 2012, 02:58:10 AM »
I don't know the answer and cannot find it, maybe to close to the elections. It appears interesting to me that Obama supporters are called lazy, inept, non-motivated, parasites and worse by many conservatives but yet enough of them got off their butts to vote and elect their candidate. It would appear to me that there should be a much higher percent of republicans that voted than democrats because supposedly they are the motivated, hard working, loyal, intelligent, etc. ones. Did they or did they screw themselves by not voting?

No... they were busy complaining about abortion, gays, too many Mexicans & blacks, and trying to find examples of Sharia law takin' over America.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Three million fewer conservatives voted for Romney than McCain.

Can it be more obvious.

Democrats vote for the Santa Claus party and turn out to do so, Republicans sit home and bitch about Republicans have the wrong candidate.

The Jack-Ass is the Democrat symbol but it more accurately fits the conservatives who refused to vote for Romney for any reason.

Didn't vote, voted for a third party and/or were one of the obamabot sheep. We're all stuck with this abomination for another four years. Whichever, if you are one of the above, thank you so freaking much for helping to destroy this country.

Lowest turnout in recent elections.
Who cares? The Dmocrats seem to care----I really don't want to hear any downgrading of Democrats. That is poor democracy.
If we have 25000 members---by statististics, 18000 here did not vote.

several people here have stated that they were not going to vote, or, were going to write in another name.
how would these same people would act if their family were in the same danger as the country.
I wanted someone other than Romney, but I won't take my football and quit because I wasn't chosen as quarterback.
I wish Virgil Goode had been on the ballot.

Agreed Sir. Those that didn't vote hurt America just as much as those that tossed their vote in the trash. The ability to defeat hussein was there, folks just refused to use it. One was just as bad as the other. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:(

The Republican party is supposedly the party of personal responsibility yet all I see in this thread is the blame game.

Now, I know it makes you feel all gooshy inside to repeatedly violate the Golden Rule, but how, exactly, would that have ANY effect on the Republican vote?

Oh, they shot themselves in the foot alright! But not by not voting, or even voting third party. ::)

Heck, the Annointed One garnered ten million fewer votes this time around....and still won.

I'm shocked that you'd make stuff up about me that isn't true. Do you have an example of me BLAMING those that voted for Romney for anything? I certainly said "I told you so" about nominating a liberal and why it was a bad idea for Republicans to shut Ron Paul out of the convention but I didn't blame anyone for anything.

Blaming people for their own shortcomings is supposed to only be done by liberals but you'd never know it by reading this thread.

While I'm not a pro. Political Annalist, I'll go out on a limb here and say to those of you who think those that didn't vote, or voted third party by their actions gave it to Obama! If everyone eligible to vote had voted, the results would have been even more lopsided in Obama's favor.

As long as we have Liberal Republicans running against Liberal Democrats, the D's will win out.
Really we need to quit ranting about the King of Pennsylvania Ave. and start working hard at the State level to rid ourselves of these Parasitic monsters. If we had a majority of patriots in the House and Senate, the clown in the big house would be as important as the KANG of Angland ;)
