We aren't eating turkey for thanksgiving we are having ham. We are saving those poor turkeys and dogs for a later date.
When I was traveling across country with a friend we stopped at the reservation so he could visit his grandmother. It was thanksgiving time and she had a big pot of stew going. I went back for seconds and she said dig down to the bottom and get some puppy it is very tender.
I don't know if she was joking or not but it was great stew and the hospitality was fantastic.
