Just would lke to say I just found this board and have signed up. Have been a Contender fan since 1968. Have owned 3 contender's in that time. Wish I had the first one I had bought in 68. Had 3 barrels, 256 Win., 45/410 and a 357/44BD. But  a career change caused me to go into handguns and tactical weapons. Since retiring and moving to FL. I have slowly moved back in single shot rifles and Thompson Contender's. Now have 2.  A handgun Contender with 2 barrels, 7/30 Waters and 17 Remington. Samething in a Rifle configuration. Really enjoyed reading the 200+pages here. Looking forward to finding a 357/44 BD. Thanks Thomtender

Welcome ThomTender!  I just have to say that 256 was my first Contender many years ago and of course when the factory ammo dried up it was what got me into hand loading.  As you know,  once you hand load for the Contender it opens up a whole new world.  I have always been intrigued by the 357 BD, but my 357 Herrett kind of fills that niche and there are other calibers that I want to explore if I ever get time.  Enjoy your Contenders and join in the discussions.
