I have found a good priced 375 JDJ Encore barrel. I'd like to try one, but where would I find loading dies and brass?
Thanks for any help .

You can get the dies from SSK industries www.sskindustries.com as for brass you just neck down 444 marlin brass.

Thanks Mike.
I thought I'd heard that somebody was going to make brass. Does one trip through the die make it? Or is there an extra step? $68 dies makes a fellow think twice, too. Maybe we'll do it. Maybe not.
Thanks'

I may be wrong, but I think that .375 JDJ is about to become available as factory ammunition through Thompson Center.

That's what I heard. One box would be all the brass I'd need for such a cannon. Thanks a lot.

Maybe not, Jim. This should also be an excellent cast bullet round. Dies may come down in price now that this one is a factory chambered cartridge. One pass through the sizer die is all that is needed. I sent a bad barrel back to TC and requested that it be replaced with a 375JDJ. We shall see if I get one.

375 JDJ DOES NOT WORK WELL FOR CAST BULLETS!

Most 375 JDJ/444 barrels come with a brake.  The brakes screw up cast bullets, and make a horrible mess at the muzzle.
Now on the other hand...you can order your 375 without a brake...but GOOD LUCK with full power loads.  Ha Ha.

Factory ammo is to be marketed under the TC brand.  I understand it will be made by Hornady, so I assume ( and hope ) that they can and will add the brass and dies to thier line also.  Time will tell.  Walt  :D

Jim, If I were you, I wouldn't mess with a brake. I've been shooting mine in a contender for over 15 years and have not had a need for the added muzzle blast or back thrust. Not too much more than full house 44mag loads with 300 grain bullets.

With the Encore being a heavier gun than the contender, recoil should be a little less.

Good Shooting,

HL

Robert,
I've never had the brake affect the bullets. Cast bullets will lead the ports.  It is no trick to push cast bullets hard if you pay attention to the alloy and fit of the bullet to the bore. With cast, I get to shoot a great deal more.
