I have one of the newer 4 inch model redhawk that I bought used. It has the new Hogue monogrip from the factory and it shoots pretty good with plated bullets less so with casts. I am going to have it Taylor Throated and the cyclinders reamed sometime in the future.

Here is a link that talks about the trigger difference between Redhawks (super vs regular). It come Hamilton Bowen who is one of the great gunsmiths for Rugers around...

I bough this RedHawk as soon as I found one with a scope mount, back in the mid 80's I think. These days I shoot it mostly without the scope and have put thousands of rounds of cast bullet loads through it ,without any problems. It's not as pretty as a Smith, but it's 'Tuff as a Tank' and shoot's good ,that's what I like about it.

Plinker,

Mine isn't scoped, but I'm with you the rest of the way.

A touch over 1300fps with an LBT 310gr LFN from my 5.5" Redhawk and it takes a lick'in and just keeps on tick'in!
