I bought a set of the X dies in 223/5.56 and resized a bunch of once fired Lake City brass and noticed scratches on the necks. I did tumble them first in lyman media. After resizing them I noticed very light vertical scratch marks on just the neck, they did not seem to be spaced random but spaced evenly around the neck. I did take it apart and clean it but had the same results. While the scratch marks were not deep I was just curious if this is normal and what the effect may be after several reloads of the same brass with more marks on them. thanks.
