The last really good Democrat president..
« on: November 08, 2012, 07:09:27 AM »
The last really good democrat president, Harry S. Truman once said words to the effect.."you don't have to respect me as president, but you should respect the office"..
That is getting quite hard to do, considering what is being done in that office, against the American people.  Then the filthy actions in that same office with Clinton & Monica sure doesn't help.

Today my Stars & Stripes came down..no sense waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Oh, I will still officiate for veteran's funerals because I respect the veterans.  But as the flag comes off  and the bier is lowered, I know I will be thinking..may as well bury the flag with the dead veteran.  The nation is essentially dead or dying...and it is certainly not the same nation this veteran had fought for.

Ronald Reagan had so much respect for the office, he wouldn't take off his coat except late at night when alone.
clinton couldn't keep his pants on there.

my wife had some kinfolk in Mo. when Truman was a young man, and he would come to visit riding a mule.
A good down to earth man.

good post btw.

Truman also said, "The buck stops here", so he took the heat and accepted responsibility.  Obama deflects, and blames others, even for his own mistakes.  Don't make good democrats anymore.

You are right about that. Here's a look at how much respect obama has in the Whitehouse. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=obama+feet+on+furniture&qpvt=obama+feet+on+furniture&FORM=IGRE Also notice the Oval Office color scheme went from Red, White and Blue to a middle eastern motif.

your wrong about that.  back in the day, there wasn't that much difference between parties.
it was only when the democrats started allowing perverts to have a say about the platform that Christians had to leave the party.

btw, Donald Duck would be a better prez than obama.

There are a lot of people who do not care for him or vote for him including myself .
But at least out here a lot of small business and company's flourished under Bill Clinton.
So flame on but it is a fact. And I would take him any day over what we now have, or what we ran as a nominee. Bill Clinton was drug kicking and screaming to the table over NAFDA and GAT !
Two programs that clearly set the stage for the out sourcing of American jobs.

Also,he looked on silently as GW scorned the American people and told them to just send us money!   As we were privately donating blankets and canned goods to the survivors of the Haiti earthquake through our churches.Bush rudely stepped up to that microphone and basically told us to stop sending those things they did not need them.

Something Clinton later said was uncalled for at a time most Americans didn't have the money to spare. This was the time I lost all respect for Mr. Bush, he really did talk down to us that day. Where Bill Clinton did not, and in fact rejected both Bushes and Obamas approach to that entire situation .

Have none of you ever been in the military?  You don't have to respect the person, but you must respect the rank.  Regardless of what we think of Obama, he IS our president.  His office commands respect.  If you don't have respect for his office, you ought not serve the nation in any capacity.  Me, I despise the person, but I respect the office.  It's not up to us as servants of the country to protest what he proclaims what we will do or not do.  (Unless and until we come to the point of revolution, which ain't going to happen.)
For those of  you who served, were you in love with the ranking officer?  Was he an idiot?  Was he incorrect, in your view, of the proper course of action?  For a follower, or a respector of America, it's not for youto decide.  He was elected whether we like it or not.  He is the commander in chief no matter who you wanted in that position.
I tell you plainly that I don't like him, I didn't vote for him, but he is what he is, which is the president of this nation.  If you can't follow his instructions, move.  That ain't going to happen either.  You won't move.  You'll stay and you will obey the law, and you will participate as mandated by law.  If he get's anti-gun law passed, you will not vioilate federal law and keep hold of your guns.  If federal agents come to your home to collect your guns, you will give them up or go to prison.  What part of being a lawful citizen don't you get?  Those who say I'll hold onto my guns until they kill me will simply end up dead.
We are coming to that.  The revolution some folks want will not occurr.  The citizens have elected a liberal Democrat, and as a citizen you will respect that office or you will not.  If you don't, and the worst occurrs, you will lose.  No internal war (as many hope for) is on the horizon.  We'll fall to the Muslims before another civil war rips the nation apart.  Complain and whine as you might, facts are facts.  We have a black Muslim extremist liberal America despiser as president, but he IS the president.  The people have spoken.  We are on an unalterable downward spiral.  No hope exists.  We won't see the end in our lifetime, but the next generation will see it close at hand.  The generation after that will be part of the One World concept that the Muslims will own.
That said, as a member of the present population, I will fight it to the death.  But the majority will not.  They will lie down with the other sheep.  Sometimes I wish I had a loud speaker to address the entire nation. I'd say "Wake up.  Look what is coming."  But even if I could, the majority would not look and they would not see.  Be thankful that you are of the generation that will not suffer the end of the United States.  Look forward to your salvation in Heaven, even in your time of sorrow for your descendants.

A little harsh there Mike.  if a person votes, he/she has the right to gripe.  obama is like an animal or bird that has soiled their own nest.   I do not respect this president. he has done and said things that is an abomination to God.  the office of prez now reeks of decadence. and it will just get worse in the next four years.

before i cliked on this i was thinking he must mean truman?

i respect your service to our once great country more than you will ever know. it must hurt you more than anyone to see where we are headed. what we were then was certainly worth dying and fighting for. what we are now, umm not so sure. i counsel my son to not join the military as much as i respect it.i just dont want to see him in it of our prez will not back him up.

Republicans are not going extinct, there are more people voting Republican today than in the 1960's percentage wise.  More today than in the 1930's.  We have Hispanics, women, and blacks as senators, representatives, governors, CEO's of corporations.  Moreso than Democrats.  Most minority democrats are involved in community organizing, protesting, complaining, etc.  They demonise Republican minorities.  They call them Uncle Tom's or like Condeliza Rice an Aunt Jemima.  They make fun instead of offering real solutions.  Republicans have compromised too much with the dems over the years.  For instance, the 10 million who voted for Obama last election and DID NOT Vote this time were asked who they would have voted for.  Most said Ron Paul.  Now if Romney had talked with Ron Paul and asked what he would want on the platform the most and pushed for it, and got his support, Romney would have won.

If Romney had chosen Ron Paul as his vice-presidential candidate, I would have voted for them. I have voted for Republicans in the past.

I think he's kinda like me, he's younger but neither on of us want to see this country go down the sewer.  you might call me comrade bugeye since we are becoming a communist country.
I don't have all the answers, my job in the military was of a technical nature, so there are better planners. plus I'm too old and disabled to fight, but I can contribute guns,  ammunition, and make coffee for the troops and give encouragement.
what I would really like to see is secession, even thou I would lose my social security.

Not quite accurate Garbhead..  I wasn't of age to vote for or against Truman..21 was the definitive age then.. but I did vote for a Democrat ho most of the liberals of today would not vote for , he being JFK .  That was about the last worthwhile Democrat candidate.
        Admittedly I have become more conservative; but that is only natural..      Remember what Winston Churchill said;

No democrat politician was or is "good" they are all inherently evil. They were the party of slavery. Later on they were the party of denying equal rights for blacks.  A little later they were the party of destroying the black family unit via the creation of the welfare state. Now they are the party in favor of destroying the right to keep and bear arms. They want to leave decent law abiding people helpless in the face of evil. The democrat party is now and always has been the party of bondage.

I read your post twice and can't find a thing wrong with it.
wasn't it Eisenhour (republican) that started trying to get blacks to get busy going to school so they could better themselves.
it's always been democrats that has kept blacks oppressed.

never really thought of it that way before.but your info is correct. they did do all those things you speak of.back in the day, i dont think you could get into the kkk if you were a republican. and apparently bondage  is what they are after only now it is for all americans not just minorities.

  True Lakota;
Their very destructive "war on poverty" has been the most destructive force pressed upon them since slavery itself.  It destroyed their families, their culture, squashed a century of progress toward full participation in forging their proud participation in a fruitful, productive society.  This is what happened to those who "took the bait"..for those who didn't bite; they have made progress.
Now we have many of a whole generation of whites, many of whom are swallowing the same bait taken by the minorities of a generation ago.
It is not hard to trap some of these unfortunates.  They have been "dumbed down" in school, they have not been taught values and have never acquired a "moral compass"...thus they are prime candidates for enslavement..
I think we witnessed the result in this last election..  Among voters it is now likely that the 'takers' outnumber the 'makers'...
******************************************************************************************************************

" “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasure, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policies, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”
