Found 4 - SB-2s and cried

Was at the local gun show this morning and at one of the tables I saw 4 sb2 frames just laying there , I thinks to my self " self you have struck gold "
 
Now the sad part , the guy had cut off the pivot part of all 4  , with them being a SN part he didn't want to deal with the FFL laws , and to make matters worse he wanted $35 each as parts only frames !  >:( >:( :'(

He did have a couple forarms w/ spacers that were cut to the 12g profile , I was able to pick them up for $5 each so all was not lost .

That doesn't make sense, if he was not a dealer he doesn't have any FFL laws to deal with if he's doing a face-to face transaction.

My thoughts!  Why would anyone ruin a perfectly good frame to sell at a lower price.  Only one reason; they were stolen frames and he (she) never wanted them written up by an FFL dealer since the serial numbers were listed somewhere.

Its the same guy Jason got the 410 barrel from the weekend of the shoot , at his age its more likely that he just forgot what he was doing , or someone told him that H&R's are a factory fit system and no onw would want those frames .

you are probably right.  I forget that just because I can remove the innards from a SB2 in a couple of minutes not everyone can.
