Texas May Look to Nullify the TSA and NDAA 11/21/12
NaturalNews:

Dissatisfaction is spreading rapidly throughout a very divided nation in the wake of the Nov. 6 elections, as citizens in nearly every state have begun petitioning the federal government to leave the union.
Lawmakers in Texas are set to respond to a growing wave of discontent with federal authority, as they look set to consider a pair of bills that will set the state on a collision course with Washington.

Earlier this week, Rep. David Simpson, R-Longwood, pre-filed a measure called "The Texas Travel Freedom Act," or H.B. 80, which would make it a criminal act to intentionally touch "the anus, breast, buttocks, or sexual organ of the other person, including touching through clothing," without probable cause, in the process of allowing someone access to public transportation.
In other words, the bill is aimed at ending pointless, embarrassing and invasive pat downs of travelers by the federal
Transportation Security Administration, among others.

In addition, state lawmakers will consider a separate measure that would block any attempt to indefinitely detain people in Texas under sections of the National Defense Authorization Act. That measure, known as H.B. 149, has been pre-filed by Rep. Lyle Larson, R-San Antonio.

It states: It is the policy of this state to refuse to provide material support for or to participate in any way with the implementation within this state of Sections 1021 and 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Pub. L. No. 112-81). Any act to enforce or attempt to enforce those laws is in violation of this subchapter.

Poor TSA guys, look on the bright side guys. You can always find gainful employment in the porn
industry. I have been through this crap before, no offense here to gay women that's not what I'm
saying. But why is it always an admittedly gay woman doing the strip searches ?
In them telling me that is that supossed to make me feel better about it ? Well it doesn't !

NDAA first signed in 1996. TSA created in 2001. Funny they waited until after the 2012 election to start bitchin about it.  I wonder why?

I am not a fan of the TSA either but Texas better think this one through. The feds could just ban all airline service in Texas or at least any in and out of Texas.

to ban aircraft in and out of Texas would require some kind of dire emergency.  the FAA has a lot of power, but not enough to do as you suggest.

Well gee isn't the FAA a federal agency? We could tell them to kiss off just like the rest of the alphabet agencies.

And once again the FAA and TSA tell the airlines that they cannot fly in and out of Texas due to safety or they will be grounded. Yes, they could do that.

well, we know that the AG will flex his muscles and threaten lawsuits that the airlines couldn't afford to fight.  that's what the NLRB did to boeing.
this government is out of control and breaking the law is nothing to them and the senate-fox is watching the hen-house.
my point is, the FAA doesn't legally have the power to stop flights into-out-of Texas just because...
but there is nobody in DC to rein in all of obamas rogue agencies. we're screwed.....

The TSA could certainly stop airlines in and out of Texas if they did not follow the TSA guidelines. How would they do that? First by order, than a court order, than if needed a pair of F-16s.

Well I can think of nothing dumber than for our federal gub'ment to attack a state. If that actually happened John, consider the implications and civil war that would follow. Wouldn't happen but if it did, you'd have your idiot president to thank. Course they'd just spin it bengazi style.. We all know how thats turning out. What an impressive supreme leader we have.:-[

obama is going to keep pushing people until his actions blow up in his face, and I hope there's enough patriots to wipe this scourge off the map.

when it first came up, I doubt if the lawmakers envisioned legal sexual harressment.

I've already told them to kiss off.  I haven't flown commercial in ten years.  They would always find my swiss army knife in my pocket.  I've logged thousands of miles driving in the lower 48 and haven't wished I had flown once.   I've never lost luggage, had to "lay over" or "bend over".   I've seen a lot of this great country from CA to VA and from MT to TX.  When I got to my destination I was well armed and ready to hunt or defend myself.   The airports can frisk each other, make some people wait for hours or herd them like cattle but not me.
