fox pro sounds
« on: November 19, 2012, 10:41:20 AM »
i decided to buy a new electric caller and give the wildfire ll a try.  my problemn is you have to pick the  35 sounds that it comes with.
my question is what are good sounds for bob cats,  coyotes, and fox other than the standerd  dying rabbit sounds.  they must have 500 sounds plus mixed ones.
thanks

Try some local bird sounds, they make a good alternate sound when the Dying Rabbit gets kind of tired.  Being in N.M. I'd throw in some Bear Sounds.  If Turkey sounds are legal in N. M. I'd try some of them as well.  Javalina may be a good one as well.  Are electronic calls legal for Elk and Mulie, just a thought.  Electronic Calls are not just for Predators.

Here in Alaska I useThe usual predator calls, Coyote, Wolf, Dying Rabbit, Wood Pecker, Fox, Coyote fox wolf Pups, Bears, and Rodents.  I used Moose Calls till they were banned.  You want a rush?  Climb a tree, then use the Black Bear call, especially the Baby Black Bear.   Grizzly will come in fast, intending to kill something.  The reason to be in a tree, luckily Grizzlies don't climb trees.  Even when expecting it you will climb higher.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

If you get it from Foxpro and tell them what you want to use it for they will load it for you with the appropriate sounds for free.  There may be dealers who will do the same.

I used the fox pup on mine. Worked great for fox. Never had any luck with the dying rabbit. Used the crow in distress. Wasn't 5 minutes and the air would be full of crows.

Same results as bobg.
Crow fight makes 'em real stupid.
Lost turkey hen might have worked once, or could have just been lucky.
I was more successful with a box call; turkey assembly call in late spring means the pouts are scattered.
Dinner bell for coyotes.

I recorded a custom sound to call my hunting buddy, Richard,
It was more annoying than the crow fight call but called him in pretty to well. :)
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.
