Unknown tool

Maybe you guys can help....I came across a tool that I cannot identify. It appears to be a 3 sided file at first glance, however the faces are concave and smooth. The edges are sharp. It is about 10 inches long. Any help would be appreciated.

A pic would be nice. Does it have a handle? It could be a scraper used to fit babbitted bearings.
