Interesting bowling ball mortar

Went to shoot an interesting bb mortar with a friend recently.  Thought the bb mortar guys would find it interesting.

Yes the BB Mortar is very interesting , but the photos are to small to get a good zoom on .    :(

Have to work on my picture sending ability and re-post.  Can't seem to get full image.  No powder chamber DD.

That's what scary about these stokes mortar type mortars.   Guys just clamp on T&E and a base plate and go shooting.   They really don't know what they are doing.  One group in Indiana was even using smokeless powder.

As much as I don't like seeing these things on this board, perhaps it better if we do have them and educate folks.  If we can get folks to build them correctly and it keep one person from getting hurt  then it can't be bad.

Oops.  Forgot about the theory that a powder chamber welded to the bottom of a structurally sound tube makes it stronger than the tube itself.  Someday we'll do some actual testing and put this one to bed.

Nothing wrong with that if properly constructed.
