Does anyone know what type of batteries these take ? If I remember correctly they were flat and about the size of a quarter.

I'll try to dig through my archives and see if I can find anything official, but I'll bet you're looking for a 2032 battery. They're cheap enough to take a flyer on, too. I'll post again if I can find something definitive...

Thanks 68. I think they are 3v batteries, but there are 2032 and I think 2016 or something that are the same size. Not sure what the difference is . Any help would be appreciated.

2032, same battery that most red dot scopes use. The 2016 is a thinner battery I believe. Also most cap clip on lights use the 2032, I go through a bunch during hunting season.  ;D
