http://www.reloadammo.com/9mloads.htm

And REMEMBER, this guy says these are MAX LOADS. So be sure you back off at least the recommended ten percent for a starter load.

3.5 - 4.5 with a 124 gn jacketed slug; using a 115 gn slug should be a lighter load.

I think you've got that backward Mikey, lighter slugs generally take a larger charge of the same powder.  Also, OP is talking about plated slugs, not jacketed.  Plated slugs are lead with very very thing plating of copper or other metal and are more like lead than jacketed when it comes to loads. Rainier says to use data for lead bullets when reloading: http://www.rainierballistics.com/loaddata.php

Lyman 48th edition doesn't show a load for a 115gr lead slug, but does show 3.4gr - 4.2gr max for 120gr lead so I'd use that as my starting place.

I load 3.7 grains of Bullseye under a 124 grains cast lead in 9mm--not hot--but pleasant to shoot---works in about 10 different firearms so far with  no complaints--carbines as well as handguns.

I load all my 9mm range ammo using Bullseye powder and cast bullets. Currently loading the 125 SWC from Missouri Bullet. I load 3.8 grs under the 125gr.

I must admit that Gun Runner and his Bullseye produce great 9mm loads.  I try not to look at his target because the groups are to small. ;)

OK, I'll be the one to ask; What does your reloading manual say? You have one (or three), right?

of course. lymans, hornady, speer, and downloaded info from hogdons, alliant, ect. problem is there is very little data for raineer plated bullets. so far i have found good loads for 38 special, 357 magnum, 32 acp, and now 9mm. thanks to all you guys for your suggestions. I loaded the 115 gr raineer hp with 4.0 grains of BE and a fed small pistol primer. they worked perfectly in the ruger p89 and lc9. thanks again for the help.
