Bill and Matt: Feinstein's next move, as within a wk.
« on: January 02, 2013, 04:01:43 PM »

This would essentially turn any semi-auto (title-1) firearm into a title-2 firearm, along with a $200.00 registration fee and a centralised registry like they have for machineguns.
And woe betide the poor souls who don't get theirs taxed and registered.

This might be worth a mass e-mail.  The least we can all do is contact the ruling class in Washington.

The results must have encouraged them. Just the beginning, I'm afraid.

Just for the record, I transferred a legal
zip gun (pen gun) to my brother ($5 transfer tax), and the process took two years   -that was for a single shot .22!

Bugeye, you might notice some of my posts are in the wee hours of the morning, or late late at night, whichever fits. My reason is the same as yours.  Ain't we just a fun bunch?

I reread the phuchstein thingie. What the hell is an assault pistol? By what characteristics is it defined? I bet before this bill they had NO description.  And since they do not exist how can they be banned?

Anti-gunners are of the idea that they have to "do something", no matter how useless it is. It is just some more 'feel good' law making.

'68 GCA sure didn't feel good to me. Lost all the rights to own all the guns I had. And the shells.  -Of course I never lost their use, just had to be more creative.

Black, magazine fed, predominantly seen in Hollywood blockbuster action films. The old James Bond would not have carried an assault weapon. Jim carried a sexy weapon, barnaby Jones did not carry an assault weapon, Andy nor Barney carried assault weapons, Andy was so badazz he carried nothing but Barney, and Barney carried but one bullet, in his pocket.

But, alas, men were men in those days, James Bond fought world domination with a single stack .380, a Walther PPK.  The puzzification of men has led to the proliferation of bad guns. We need to go back to the day and age when a man could and would fight evil with a SAA Colts revolver. When you could subdue a bad man with a .32ACP Colts hammerless, and a sneer. Sadly the sneer has been bred out of men, replaced with Alan Alda tenderness. I would submit Humphree Bogart could hospitalize Alec Baldwin with a sidelong glance, and send him into ICU with a contemptious laugh.

Feinstien and her ilk are happy that they can now whip a mans ass. No longer happy with whining and harping they are hell bent on physical domination. The only recourse men have is to turn to Assault Weapons (pistols?) to fend off these harpy's, and it must be stopped.

Imasculation and now disarmament where will it stop?   I'm only sorta joking.

So will that mean we can convert our semis into full autos now? Sounds good!

To his credit, that ammendment didn't appear until a half hour before it crossed his desk. He might not even have known about it.
But incremental temperature increase is how to boil the proverbial frog. That's just another example.
