Info needed for hog hunting in Ocala National Forest, Fla.
« on: January 14, 2013, 10:46:20 AM »
In February I will be in the Daytona area and would like to hog hunt in the Ocala National Forest. I'm ware that hog hunting is open all year, but that is the extent of what I know about the area. Can anybody give me some pointers? I've hog hunted in SC and TN with a guide in the past, but I plan to stalk and still hunt buy myself in the forest. Any input would be helpful.

I would suggest contacting Florida Fish and Wildlife about the dates you wish to hunt.    Even though Florida allows hunting year round for wild hogs "on private property"   many of the Wildlife Management areas have designated hunting seasons and do not allow year round hunting.
I'm just tryin' to keep everything in balance, Woodrow. You do more work than you got to, so it's my obligation to do less. (Gus McCrae)
