calling coyotes
« on: January 09, 2013, 05:30:29 AM »
I received a Fox Pro Wildfire for Christmas. Have mostly just been playing with it so far. Had a funny incident last Sunday with it. I had not been up long and it was just getting light enough to see well I spotted two coyotes about 175 yards from my house. Since I was only in my robe and slippers I decided not to try and shoot them since I was not dressed to follow up if I wounded one. Instead I cracked my door and stuck my caller out. It was set on "coyote locator" call that to me sounds like your average pack of coyotes howling. When I turned it on I both coyotes stopped in there tracks and then looked my direction with a perfect what in the world? look on their faces and then both took off at a moderate running speed. Their looks were priceless! ;D

I hope you did not educate them to the sound of your call.

Hmmm... I could sit in my chair blind with my bunny slippers sticking out the bottom, wiggle my toes...
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.
