Good grief.  That's about as bad as it gets.  I can't believe we are just now hearing about that.

However, the black looters in Orleans was about as bad a situation as ever existed in the U.S. concerning people taking advantage of a catastrophe.  I've read than when Japan was struck with the quake and big wave, looting was non-existant.  I think that shows that immorality is rampant here and that the cops reacted in the best way they knew how to keep people from being killed.  I'm not saying it was right (it was certainly a violation of the 2nd), but I'm slow to condemn police when they are acting under orders.  I suspect the day will come that we as U.S. citizens will be faced with a choice:  Either give up your guns to law enforcement when they come to get them, or resist and take the consequences.  I don't know how we could resist the full force of federal and state officers coming to our homes.  You might win the initial confrontation, but they'd certainly be back and you would lose.
It's how nations fall.  We are not immune.  How sad we have come to this point.  How sad Obama was elected.  I fear the damage he will do during the next 3 years will be irreparable, and we will be a nation with a socialist gov't.
A formal resolution by conservatives, and a subsequent revolution against his administration, would fail.  He has the power to send military against us.  Policemen will follow directives.  They won't resign, not in any significant number.
Concerning the old lady in the video with the revolver in her hand, she was incredibly stupid.  You don't grasp a weapon when police are in your home, whether you believe they should be there or not.  She got off with a bruise, no charges.  There is an example of NRA propoganda.

they don't have to tackle elderly folks
for any reason.
i know i'm armchair quarterbacking, but i don't
see any reason from the video that somebody
couldn't have walked up and taken it.
she couldn't have fired it holding it like
that even if loaded.

those guys should be fired.

I was at my local Gander Mountain yesterday, they increased the gun area at least fourfold, the amount of guns for sale, especially pistols was incredible. The number of customers buying guns was incredible as well, do you think all these people will surrender their weapons?, I seriously doubt it.

Government fall when they overreact to situations, the power mad  will shoot somebody, the family will get pissed off and go to war with the state personally like they Afghans do.

We have about 550 elected Federal officials,  in the history of the country there have been few assassinations.
The elected officials are relatively safe in society, so why start trouble.

The party that will take the blunt of the repercussions will be the Democrats, some politically, others physically.

I personally do not agree with that agenda, but people are rather easy to kill and the mentally deranged are hard to stop.

Its absolutely appalling that confiscating firearms from law-abiding, peaceful citizens could even be construed as reacting "in the best way they knew how."  That statement alone suggests a gross incompetence and ineptitude in law enforcement as a whole.  I have no problem with condemning their actions, especially since the were just "acting under orders."  A lot of Nazis that were hung after WWII tried to use that same excuse for their actions.  Police are supposed to protect and serve.  Sometimes that might involve thinking for yourself.  Is that too much to expect from our LEO's?  The old lady didn't want to go anywhere.  She made the choice - she didn't ask for help or invite police into her house.  They should have left her there and moved onto the next house.

Those morons that forced their way into her home and cornered her had no right to tackle her.  She was holding an unloaded weapon in the most non-threatening manner possible.  They simply freaked out, because they were too stupid to notice she was holding it the whole time they were there.  They did nothing to diffuse the situation and they didn't even ask her to put it down before assaulting her.  This is a perfect image of the WORST kind of behavior you could imagine from an agency that's supposedly here to help.  This is exactly how good, honest, hardworking cops get labeled "jack-booted thugs."  I have no respect for those officers, and even less for anyone who would defend their actions.

People always remember WE outnumber the police!!  And all the police are not going to follow the orders to attack their neighbors, and family members, the police will make their biggest mistake to attempt to force their way into vary many homes for no reason at all, hell will be brought down on them in short time, not by all but it wont take all as we outnumber them ALL and alot of them will back down, some will resist and some will parish in their attempt to abuse the citensenry, I hope and pry it never come to anything like that but thats why we have the 2nd amd.  Jim
