all chambers loaded? Is there a firing pin block system in them? Or, are they really a four shot revolver?

NO! 83s should be carried with 4 rounds in them and an empty chamber under the hammer.

I've owned 5 or 6 before my hand issues began and I always carried them just like a SAA. Empty chamber under the hammer.  ;)

With the Freedom Arms you really only need to load one round, if you can shoot.
