I want to switch out the hard rubber factory pad on my 300 Win Mag for something better!! Anyone have some suggestions???

A lot of people seem to like the Pachmayr Decelerator Pad, Sims Limb Saver is very similar. Both have Ruger 77 pre-fit pads for about $30.

I ordered the pachmayr from Cablela's went went on no problem and now my 300 is a breeze to shoot

There are recoil pads that are softer than the Pachmayr Clays pad but none that will allow you to mount your rifle with less snagging due to the plastic insert at the top of the pad. I have one on my 30-06 and it works great. You can buy prefit pads like this from Cabela's and Brownells.
