Uh.. Huh..  Ditto Ranger..  Too much goes out on those social sites which perhaps adults of the family have no idea of.  Crooks could pick up just pieces of info now and then and add them up for a haul..

Even more threatening...a predator sees some kid post something like; " Mom gets home from work at 6:30 and Dad at 7:00, so from the time i get home from school,I'm all alone for 4 hours."
Imagine what some creepy beast could do with that info!  Kids are innocent and most adults are quite honest.. but as a former LEO told me right here a couple years ago.." Perps don't even THINK as you and I do, they spend much of their waking hours plotting how they can rip somebody off."
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

Someone jackbooted my front door yesterday in broad daylight .....

VEEEERY sorry to hear that!  That really sucks.

FWIW, out of everyone here at GBO. you have never struck me as one who shares too much info or personal stuff.

Hope somehow the bastids are found and get theirs!  >:(   ;)

This guy was spotted running from a botched break in day before yesterday.  Today someone of his description was walking up the sidewalk toward our neighborhood.  I spoke as he passed, but he hid his face behind his hoodie.  I followed "afar off" to see where he went, and he disappeared behind an unoccupied house three blocks away.

I called this in and let it go.  Just got a text to my cell..."suspect in custody".  Hope it's the right one.

I live rural

alarms do no good

Spy Cameras work well if strategically placed but are only reactive.

Rottweilers work pretty good, and are Proactive.

I'm thankful none of them were expensive guns....I sold and traded all those "safe queens" a while back and only have working guns.  As for the wife's jewelry...some of it was heirloom and has more sentimental value than anything else.....her mother's rings etc.

If they would let me borrow the guy for a couple hours I could probably locate them....just sayin.

Cops told me they appreciated the tip but next time not to follow someone.  I never closed up on him...thinking of the Zimmerman thing, but I'll do what I think is best in every occasion...just a stubborn old man I guess.

In any event, seems we're making progress.  No instances for 3 days and nights now.  He has strong armed a couple purses from ladies in broad daylight and in front of a lot of people who did nothing.
