I have indeed used that bullet in a Handi-Rifle with a 1:9 barrel and I thought it shot well -most groups ran a tick under an inch.  I picked a load from the Barnes website with powder that I already had on hand, but I don't presently recall what it was.  I used that load later that year to kill a 90 pound doe at about 75 yards, followed the next day by a 140 pound buck at 125.  Worked great...  No complaints...

not to tell you your business but if its deer hunting your considering look at the 60 grain partition. Weve shot a few deer and pigs with both and the partition is hands down a better performer and being that its a shorter bullet it will stablilize easier in the faster twist guns.
