Not sure why I picked Jackie Gleason because I'm not funny, can't act, don't smoke or drink, and don't play golf, but I like the picture anyway.

Maybe that's why I picked it. I always liked his variety show from Miami Beach when I was a kid.

i can still remember the theme
music in my semi-elderly head.
everybody smoked cigarettes on
television back then, even the
newspeople. i can still remember
we didn't have a color television,
and a lot of the sponsor were folks
like geritol , and a lot of the show stars
did the commercials theirselves.
