Knight Vision Rifle
« on: December 31, 2012, 07:47:24 PM »
Has anyone here used or know about the Knight Vision rifle?  I've been thinking about getting a T/C Triumph, and then I ran across the Vision.  I've had good luck with Knight rifles in the past.

I have both the TC Triumph, and the Knight Vision.  They are both good rifles. The differences are:

The Triumph (around $450 - $600) is a lot more money than the Vision ($330 - Blued version).

The Knight rifle is all steel, the Triumph has an aluminum alloy receiver.  The Knight Vision comes in blue and stainless, the Triumph comes in blue, and a "weathershield" (silver colored) finish.  I'm not quite sure, but it always felt like the Knight was a little heavier.  The Triumph has a exposed hammer which must be cocked prior to firing, the Vision does not have an exposed hammer.

If  you decide to buy the Knight Vision, I would recommend that you make sure that you purchase the version that doesn't use the red plastic (primer) jacket.  I purchased the Vision that used the red plastic jacket, but I later purchased the "adaptor" that allowed you to just use a #209 primer without the red plastic jacket.  I believe that Knight now sells the Vision in both versions.  The Triumph has the "speed breech" feature, which to me wasn't much of a selling point.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

I have the Knight Vision and would recommend it to anyone.  I know of the TC but never had one of the Triumphs.  the Triumphs are very light in weight do to the aluminum.  I am not partial to TC modern ML rifles.  the vision however, is a great gun.  I am shooting the Hornady 350 gr FPB and 100 grs of BH209.

And they come in other then blue or SS:

If you might be buying the new Knight Vision you could be in for a real treat.  While it looks like the original Vision it has been re-tooled and the tolerances have been tightened up.  It is also can be equpped with a scope rail that allows easier positioning of the scope.
I have been told the reciever is now being machined and the trigger has been improved... the old Vision was good the new Vision could be great..

Mine is one of the new models.  It has Timany trigger, Green Mtn. barrel and the new improved breech plug.  The bed part about my gun is I only paid $179 for it!!!  I don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon.
