Dang, I was a day late and a dollar short. A guy just sold three ProMag 1911 8 round mags at $35 for all three on a local gun page on FaceBook. Sure would of liked to had them.

Don't feel too bad.  After all they were ProMag. ::)   For me ProMag ranks right up there with Triple K.  Wouldn't care to bet my life on either. ;)

SharonAnne:  reference post #20...today at the Carthage, TX, gun show 1,000-round loose packs of the XM193 were going for $1180.00 and the guy sold all he had.  CTD isn't the only ones gouging.

YIKES~  $1.18 for a round of M193. The world IS coming to an end.  The obamanation infesting the Oval Office is working very hard to destroy America one way or another.  his big hammer is the economy. With unchecked deficit spending the USD will not be worth the paper it is printed on.

Supply and demand. Supply sucks and we all demand our ammunition. After looking all over on line I found a local guy who charged me $780 for a 1K loose pack of M193. Oh for the days of sealed cans of 820rds for $129. Once our troops get home from overseas we will be buying the 1K loose pack for $50.

Let's hope for the cheap stuff some day.  I suspect that, by then, it will be banned as "copkiller" bullets.

Wolf .223 was going for $800 per thousand.  Wolf 7.62X39 was $300 per 500.  Luckily, I could remember what happened in 2008 and 1994 and started stocking up early last year.

Got my two Wilson Combat mags with Wilson Combat bumper pads last night. Both were set up and used in competition shooting and are very nice mags. At $15 apiece I think I did very well and am quite a happy camper. Particularly since just one standard Wilson Combat mag on Ebay is priced at Buy It Now for $42.00 I like too that these have been used in competition, the guy I got them from is sponsered by Wilson Combat, and both have proven to work flawlessly in demanding situations. When my son said he could get them for me it seemed a no brainer to me. :)
