heavy bullet 243 win

bought a box of nosler custom comp bullets in 105 grain hpbt, i did not read the box , and it said  for 8" or faster twist bbls only, my gun is 10" twist, will this make a big differents, or can you slow it down  or is it not worth trying,

I would not worry, I have shot boxes of Speer 105g thru 6MM and 243 Win barrels for years and years...
I just wish I could still buy them!

IIRC Barnes made a 107g some time back...

I would give the longer bullet a try.  Without a doubt load development is an investment.  I have loaded with success bullets ranging from 75-grains to 105-grains for my Remington 788 for my 243 Winchester.  I have the same wish as cwlongshot, I am a fan of the 105 grain Speer.

The Speer isn't a boat tail and the Nosler being a HP makes it even longer. Don't be surprised if you get keyholes. Slowing it down I presume you mean lower velocity which is exactly the wrong way to go.

Those are a very long high bc bullet, but if the shoot well in your 10 twist I`ll buy you a steak dinner. Tou might get a 100 gr. round nose to do decent, but they are alot shorter.

My .243 Handi Rifle is 1 in 10.  I stumbled upon the 85 gr. Sierra Gameking HPBT by accident as the first bullet to try.  It's shooting sub-MOA at 300 yards.   I ain't goin' nowheres else. ::)
