You 'may' not need to bore the 410, just turn the 'insert barrel' to nicely fit the chamber and rim at the back and undersize for bore most of the rest, with a snug bore riding front end dia. (or for a bigger ga., say a 20, with an O-Ring groove up toward the muzzle. Make that a snug fit inbore with some Vasoline on the O-Ring and it with slide in/out decently)
There are some barrel liners available (Track of the Wolf used to have some) that might be good for something like this. You could fit the rear of the liner into a chamber turned 'plug' to take the breech pressure.

Larry made me a 12" 22 Hornet insert for a 12ga that's pretty much what gcrank described, it worked real good, good enough for a ½" group at 50yds. There are pics in the FAQs link, but they're real slow to load right now.

I'm looking at a permanent liner install. turning the donor .32 barrel down some and boring the .410 to make a nice fit then epoxy them together. will need the extractor notch milled and the proper extractor for the .32. will have to re mark the barrel because it will be cut to 16.25 inches. the rifle barrel crown will be recessed in the shotgun barrel about 1.5 inches. do you guys think some ports or slots in that portion would be advisable? still would need to drill and tap for scope rail. I intend to chamber this for .327 federal, making availble the .32h&R mag, .32s&w long, and .32 s&w.

The seller responded to my first email, we negotiated a price, and I sent him my address and phone number to arrange payment. Have not heard from him since. Sent another email today, hopefully he will get back to me. The price we agreed on will make this project alot more feasable. Don't know if i will ever do anything with the Jet.... maybe.
