WASHINGTON – Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., made the following statement today after President Obama laid out his recommended proposal to curb gun violence:
“I strongly support the efforts President Obama outlined today to curb the gun violence that plagues our nation. I have long supported legislation to restore the ban on assault weapons. I also have supported closing the gun show loophole to strengthen the background checks that keep weapons out of the hands of criminals, terrorists, domestic abusers, and other dangerous individuals. I support our police agencies who have implored us to make these changes.
“The steps the president outlined today are important in protecting Americans while respecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners. The president is right. It’s time for us to act, and Congress should do so.”

Yeah, Levin's ALWAYS been anti-gun.
 
Stabenow falls right in line with all the other liberal democrats too.  Don't remember all of the particulars, but one time several years ago she was being questioned by some sportsman's group on her opinion of hunting in designated welderness areas.  She said she would have to see a study done to determine how much damage to the environment would occur from dragging all those dead dear out of the woods before she could give her opinion!
 
Obviously, intelligence is not a requirement to be a U.S. Senator.

All we've got to do is keep electing liberals and we'll actually get to enjoy a Facisist/Communist "Glorious Peoples Republic" where we can all work for the betterment of the State.  It'll be wonderful.  You won't even have to worry about thinking....it'll be done for you.
