I follow quite a few news sources, and Fox is, as they say, quite fair and balanced. Their commentators aren't, but that's not the same as their news reporting.
Generally, NPR and similar left-leaning news outlets publish some legitimate news stories, while not publishing others. Fox does the same thing, but with a more right-leaning point of view.
In terms of reliability and quality of the information, I think Fox typically has greater veracity because NPR lies by omission, thus invalidating many of their stories by eliminating major facts. Fox does this too. They all do. But not to the same degree.
