44 special vs. 357 mag in 2" snubbie
« on: February 17, 2004, 12:41:32 AM »
I am considering the purchase of a 2" snubbie revolver. I was originally going to go with the Ruger SP101 but things that I have read concerning recoil/flash/noise in areas such as a bedroom or car when using defensive loads such as 125 and 158 grain, have me relooking at a 44 special-specifically a Taurus 445 2" in 44spc. My question is what is the difference in the two when using defensive loads in those areas such as recoil, loudness, and flash when using a 2" snubbie?

srcjahc:  drop on down to the Serlf Defense forum a couple of slots down the list - about halfway down that forum is a good discussion on this issue.  HTH.  Mikey.
