They are out there.  I have one due in any day.  The distributors are backed up on shipping right now due to all the recent gun sales.  For some reason, Davidsons recieved a bunch with brown laminant stocks, rather than the green laminant, but they were available, so I ordered one.  They sold them out in a few days.  There is a thread on the Rugerforum.com in the rifle section on the gun right now.  One guy has posted several pics of his varmint kills unsing the rifle.  Seems like a fun rifle.

Here's a link to the Rugerforum thread:

Interesting!    As much as I'm on RF, I must've completely missed this one.  Thanx for the eye opener. :)

Sofar I have or have on order a 4-16X42 MM AO scope, military rifle sling and keepers, five boxes of 17 Hornet ammo, one box of brass, RCBS FL reloading die set and neck sizeing die. I have a supply of Fed 209 M primers, some Lil Gun powder and Hornady and Nosler bullets on hand for reloading the 17 Fireball and 17 Rem rifles.  I ll take a look at the Ruger whenever but then I my wait to inspect a CZ  before getting a rifle.  Most all of my shooting is at prairie dogs but there are a few jackrabbits that also need to go. I ll order four extra magazins for what ever rifle I get. Theres a lot of shooting when the p dog come out in May.   I like low recoil low muzzle blast p dog rifles. THanks for the info.

I went into Sportsman's and they had one come in.  An employee had already put his name on it before it arrived.  That same employee put my name on a Savage .17 Hornet for me.  I bought the gun.  Rob likes his Ruger .17 Hornet, It's a real nice gun.  After shooting it some at the range, I decided I like my Savage with it's accutrigger better than the Ruger.  Just personel prefferences.

The .17 Hornet cartridge is a screamer.  I put the Nikon Coyote scope designed for the .223 on it and it is dead on for trajectory.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
