Hi guys I am in a bit of a predicament. I am trying to buy some ones sb2 receiver that is out of state and I am getting told by several different ffls that for me to have the receiver mailed to them it is going to cost 125$ or more after tax. This is nuts. Does any one know an ffl within say 50 miles of concord ca that I can get it shipped to and registered for not a crazy price?

Use one of the many locators, contact the FFL and confirm they're licensed and their fee. The higher cost may be because a frame/receiver only is handled like a pistol since there's no barrel to determine whether it's a pistol or rifle, my state of Washington does that now.  You should also ask if they'll accept transfers from a non-licensee if that's who's shipping it, many will only accept transfers from other FFLs.
