Vacation ended
« on: March 14, 2013, 07:34:58 AM »
Just got back from a three month vacation.  Spent time in Florida, Tennessee, and Texas.  Had the most fun in Texas.  Shot several Hogs on a private ranch, then dragged them to locations near deer stands.  100 yards from the stand was a pile of hogs, and we shot coyotes off the hog pile.  I had my 25-06 along, and while others were busy shooting coyotes I kept shooting hogs I could see in the brush 500 and 600 yards out.  What a kick.  The coyotes in this area had the mange real bad.  Hogs were everywhere.

Did shoot two Whitetail, and a Coyote in Tennessee.  All were shot out at 300 yards or farther, with my 25-06.  mean while my brother is just standing there crying holding his Marlin lever gun in .44 mag.  My brother never got a shot.  The family ribbed him for a week.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
