Due to shoulder trouble, I'm starting all over. Gonna get a recurve with a 35lb. draw weight. Finger release, off the shelf, 28.5" draw length. What size carbon or aluminum do I want?

Try Goldtip 15/35 or 35/55. 15/35 will probably work best. May have to adjust point weight for proper flight.

Hi Mike
You might want to look at the Easton guides
http://www.eastonarchery.com/selection-charts
they will help with the shaft size based on your draw length, lb pull etc.

Depends on how long you cut the shafts and what weight tips you plan on using.Do you have a good clean release? GT 15/35 or CX Predator 20/40 would be my choice to start with a 125 gr. tip cut to 30" as a starting point. I believe they will be weak in spine if cut longer. You can cut them 1/4" at a time to adjust for spine along with experimenting with tip weight. Let us know the results of what you find and we can go from there.
