Does anyone else wish FA would buy USFA?
« on: June 24, 2013, 07:33:14 AM »
I know it's not their thing. FA builds a high end hunting or target firearm, and USFA was more on the authentic "Colt" type revolver. I just think it would be great for a company that oozes quality and attention to detail, to build a gun that was expensive solely because of the quality, not because it said "Colt" on it. Please don't take that as a bash on Colt, they are just so hard to find that they demand a premium no matter the quality. And second, Colt doesn't offer the many varients that USFA offerred in "new production" like the Flattop target, Calvary, ect.. Plus, how cool would it be to get a "Colt" type revolver with a one hole test target?

I always said that if I were ever to buy another SAA type revolver it would be one made by USFA.  Even though I probably will not ever buy another such handgun, I was very disappointed to learn USFA was no longer making their "reproductions."

If FA were to take over that production nitch I have no doubt they would produce a quality firearm; better then Colt!
