If anyone is seriously interested in understanding Obama I highly recomend the movie "Obama's America 2016", you can rent it from Netflix. It is not a right wing propaganda slap down but a serious look at the people and events which shaped young Obama's life and gave him the perspective he holds. He idolized the drunken, womanizing, bigamist father who abandoned the infant Obama and his ditsy hippie flake of a mother who always told the child what a great man his father was and showed no respect for Lolo Soetoro, Barack's Indonesian step father whom she branded a "sell out" because he worked for an American Oil company and became moderately prosperous. Barack adopted his father's anti-colonial fanaticism, which soon became anti-western along with the Muslim religion which he practiced only to the extent he found convenient.
I believe it is true that he wants to break America, to punish her and knock her from the perch of world dominance. He really is not so much interested in lifting up the poor as in tearing down the rich and he is well on the way to accomplishing that goal. He wants Americans to know what it is like to live in third world poverty, even though he himself has never known that, but that is also typical of his father, mother and people with whom he surrounded himself, elitists and card carrying communists.
