Drilling man;
Not to be critical, but you used a Viper on the fox...how comes it's posed with a shotgun? You ought to give the rifle credit..

Actually, you guys have made some interesting choices,, Lakota talks of the flat nosed CCI SGBs (small game bullets), which are effective rounds..but not always easy to find..and a bit more expensive than other solids. I make my own SGBs with a device I made which is similar to Paco's Accurizer..
http://www.leverguns.com/store/acurizer.htm Being a blacksmith, i just had to "do it myself".. I'll show you how I do it..but recomend you get yours from Paco. I won't take the risk of advising you to copy me.
1) I had access to washers at a very low price so I took a stack of them and drilled each through with a 15/64" drill.
2) Then I stacked them all on the drill and welded a bead up each side of the stack..drilling one washer of appropriate thickness with a larger hole..to place on the bottom to allow for the cartridge rim.
3) Then I prepared a couple rods of proper size..one with a flat face and one with a point
4) In use, I place a round in the core hole with the larger washer hole encompassing the rim.
5) With the peining rod, I tap two-three light taps with a rawhide hammer..either flattening a solid point or making or enlarging a hollow point.
6) For safety's sake use either a thin rubber mat or fresh cardboard under the cartridge head (rim end)
You can see the results left to right A) CCI Standard (flat nose) B) Federal 510 round nose flattened, C) Mini-mag HP opened more, D) Winchester super speed 1330 fps opened more and Winchester solid, flatnosed.
Since these bullets will be slightly compressed, they may not chamber well in a Bentz match chamber, but most have found them to actually improve accuracy in standard chambers..tighter tolerances, I guess..
Caution; for safety's sake..if you do want to accurize your cartridges..get the kit from Paco......
