My new reloading bench.

It's made out of pine.  The top is 2x6's glued edge to edge.

I have the same toys as you.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

It's a decent kit for the money.  I've already bought a hornday digital scale and powder trickler.  I need to go get some components soon.

I'd have to go back around 40 or more years to remember when reloading was that simple for me. I never went with Lee tho I began using RCBS tools and dies. I have now changed much of it for Hornady tools and all new dies I buy are Hornady. I suspect I now have more Hornady than RCBS die sets and my press is a Hornady tho an RCBS still is here just not in use these days.

I have three reloading benches and loads of cabinets holding tons of bullets, primers and powder, wads, bags of shot and such. My bullet casting furnace is an RCBS I got soon after they came out with them. Moulds are heavy toward Lyman but I have RCBS and Lee as well. I have a pair of RCBS lube-sizers and powder measures plus a couple of digial scales one the new Hornady that weighs and dispenses.

All three of my benches combined plus the shelves on two of them aren't enough to hold all the tooling at one time. I have five shotshell loading tools all MEC.

No more than I shoot and reload these days I prolly should simplify again. But my little five year old grandson Wyatt loves to help papa Bill reload. As he gets older more and more of the grunt work will fall on him. He loves to pull the handle and make ammo.

I had a ton of stuff before.  I lost all of it in a hurricane about 6 years ago.  I just decided to start back.  I'm slowly starting to get back in it.   I had a Lee Press before and never had a minutes trouble out of it.  I also don't have alot of room for much more than one dedicated bench.  I only plan on buying 1 maybe 2 more press.  I will probably buy a shotgun reloader and a turret press.

nice.
looks too nice to use.
as long as the press has no flex
everything will be great.
i have no way to post any photos.
have ugly raw plywood top big bench
with plate steel and 2X4's underneath,
and ugly thrown away old all steel office
desk with a 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 chunk of wood
liquid nailed and screwed underneath for
reinforcement. if you can envision those,
now take several bushel baskets of tooling
and powders and bullets, etc. and kind of
throw and strow it haphazardly on top
and amongst shelves and drawers.
good luck with yours.
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Your new bench looks great - also nice and tidy.  When I started reloading I too had a nice tidy bench but I built shelves (3) above my bench.  My reloading "stuff" expanded with time and when I added a progressive press it was mounted to moveable stand - press only and it sits beside my primary bench.  What I didn't plan for was all of the brass - sorted, unsorted, tumbled, case prepped, etc. - I now have no room and really need to reconstruct my entire set-up as it is just too small - something that you will probably find out real soon (he, he).

Blessings

Paul

A nice, clean bench... i'm jealous. The only time mine is clean is after a move. And i'm lucky if that lasts 5 minutes. It's easier for me to find stuff when it's messy though  ;D

Great looking bench.  From the pic it appears you have room to expand, don't let anything encroach on that space because you will need it sooner than you think.

About 40+ years ago, right after I built it,  I could see the top of my bench too.  Now the most wood you can see is the legs ;D .

I kinda think I remember what that was like , the simpler times in life , just 1 press and a few gizmo's . Now its 2 full 8' benches along with shelves on all 4 walls of a 14' x 14' room .

Me thinks I need to get back to basic's !  ;) ;D :o ??? ::) :P
