Got my new barrel back 45-70
« on: February 18, 2004, 07:42:11 AM »
Well guy's I got my 22" barrel that I had put on my SB-2 Ultra RMEFCE frame.  I will say this that the comb is too high on the stock for proper sight alignment.  But I tried something already and it I believe WILL work.

I took that new 22" barrel and wanted to see if it would fit my Buffalo Classic frame.... yup it duz  8)  Locks up nice and tight and after I get back from Kona, HI. in TWO WEEKS,  I'm gonna see if all goes well at the range and run some test firings.

I just may have a Buffalo Classic carbine or cadet model here  :-D  Of course I will have to put appropriate sights on this short barrel now as well, its gotta look period correct

Montanan

Isn't the 22" barrel fitted (headspaced, etc) to the SB2 receiver?  If so, be careful of using the barrel on another receiver.
Even a turtle has to stick its neck out to get ahead.
