We have had 10 to 12 inches snow today. The neighbor usually gets out and shovels down to my ddrive when he does his, I do the same when I am the first up. The neighbor on the other side is an older lady (not as old as I, though) with arthritis, her husband has to work out of town, so is not home. So this a.m. we both did hers, usually I do it myself when hubby is gone. Later today my son also did both mine and hers. This evening I went to get the last pass before morning, when I got up to her window her son in law (30 more or less) was sitting at the dining table wearing bermuda shorts, no shoes, and doing some texting or whatever. He did NOT make eye contact. Since I have to go to work, have my own arthritis (some), it really chaps me. I want to ask good old hubby about why the youngster can't help, too. At about that age, I did mine, my GF and her dad's (now wife), both neighbors, her landlady, an old woman I know who lived in the 3rd home there, and the walks at a little meeting hall, then went to work by 6am.m. It worked too; being steady made a better impression on my love than having a fancy car I couldn't afford.
