Picked up a Tikka light in .243 today!
« on: March 13, 2013, 03:39:56 PM »
Have been looking and pondering the Apex, American  and Tikka for 2 months. Finally got the Tikka today. Went over and over on .223 or .243. Picked the .243  to do double duty, deer and predator. My .223 Stevens 200 shoots good but not great. I have a Marlin XS7 in 7MM-08 that shoots great. What would be the lightest bullet to try in the Tikka. I think I will try some Nosler partitions for deer. Thanks, Don

I got the T3 SS in 243.  It really likes the Sierra 100 gr.  Don't remember the exact load but it has killed several deer and a coyote this year.
