Pachmayr Decelerator Pad
« on: March 19, 2013, 05:51:20 AM »
I'm looking to replace the factory rubber pad on the rynite contender stock with a Pachmayr Decelerator pad.
What size fits the contender stock? I'd like one that is 1" thick.

Thanks.

Use a Limb Saver. Its a direct replacement for the rock hard factory rubber pad, fit and screw holes are just right.

I had the red hard rubber butt plate on my 7MM Remington  Magnum replaced with a Decelerator recoil pad.  Made a world of difference and turned my M77 into a useable rifle.

I didn't see a listing for a Contender on the Limbsaver website.......just a listing for the Encore, Blackdiamond, Omega #10031

Limbsaver also makes the Nitro grind-away pad. It has a 1.5" length of pull, which I like. It won't have the raised plastic on the back of it to align it into the rynite stock however. It would be just the two screws holding it in place.........wonder if it would work?

X10 on the limbsaver pad. I think it would work and if you have any concerns once it's fitted and your ready to screw it in place you could squirt a little expanding foam in the hollow and screw it down, that stuff is a good bonding agent too.   Mike
