OK guys..will we still be legal..
« on: March 24, 2013, 09:16:44 AM »
  Will we still be legal if we go to the H&R classifieds here on GBO and have another member sell & mail to us a barrel for an H&R rifle?  Does this new "Adolph law" prevent us from direct mailing gun parts like that?

My personal opinion rather than worrying about what is legal and not put the effort and energy into working to get rid of the unconstitutional law.  Then we will not have to worry about breaking it

Nope, that's legal.  You are not buying a gun and parts for a single shot rifle aren't included.  Go ahead and get it.

Mikey;
      Is it governed by wherever the serial number is located..anything but the numbered part?

Only the receiver in a Handi is regulated. Bolt and single shots will be the next group he goes after. Then ML!!!

Ironglow:  the serial number is not relevant in this situation.  You can purchase extra barrels or aftermarket parts for the Handi without problem.  Single shot rifles are not included in the law as they cannot be made to fire semi or fully automatic.  I don't think you would even have a problem with a threaded barrel, as the rifle is still single shot and just a threaded barrel cannot make it into a magazine fed assault type scary thing.  I think the only issue with a threaded barrel would be if you silenced it illegally - then it would be illegal.....

Hmmmm.

Does this mean I can uncover my single shot yard cannon pointed down the driveway?   ;D
I wonder if it's one of them "assault" cannon thingys. If you're really good and can keep your eyebrows, you can get off more than one shot a minute. Just swab between shots and have somebody hold your cigar.

I am sure that everyday that I am alive, I'm breaking some stupid law somewhere.

Yeah its pretty sad that I was a law abiding gun owner in Alaska and all I did is drive to New York and now I'm a felon, in the army, none the less.

Ironglow:  it's not that this stupid governator doesn't trust his citizens as much as he fears them, because having more than 7 roundsmeans his poletzi might not be able to control them.

This is not over yet, not by a long shot.  prince andrew hates upstate ny with a vile distaste for kicking his father's greasy butt outta office for ruining the state years back and that basically shot the kwomo concept of hereditary government within ny. But, the prince's behavior in years past should indicate to some, with any capability to think, that he might be a bit too dang impulsive to be a effective governor.

So far all his promises for improving the state's economy have fallen flat.  His 2% tax cap is easily over-ridden by the home rule authority of the counties, he has killed off any southern tier growth and improvement by stalling fracking, his concept of bringing business into upstate is limited to bringing in technologically oriented business which does nothing for reducing the welfare roles, and he has foisted this gun control crap on the law-abiding citizens.  For all of this he will never see the white house except with a visitor's pass in his pocket when he goes to visit Senorita La Presidenta Hillary, and if he survives into a 2nd term, which could be (hopefully very) problemmatic for him, he will still never get out of nys and this will kwush his dweams of being King of These United States.  Thank God for the tears he will shed when that realization hits him.

In the interiom however, and before he thinks he can just turn around and leave this gun law behind him for his poletzi to enforce (and the dang law is really unenforceable, especially with 54 of 57 upstate Sheriffs and 50 of 57 upstate county legislatures refusing to enforce the law), we have to continue to pound the living crap out of him publically and not give him a minutes rest with this.  Our protests against his law must be so continual and on-going that we don't let him catch a breath and in the process he makes another mistake, some public misstep that either identifies him as a true hitlerite or something that makes him sound either so stupid or arrogant that even his own people begin to doubt him.  And we have to keep biting at his butt so often that he becomes publically impetuous and goes into a rant, which we can drive him into without too much of a problem, so long as we just keep it up.

He has a bad habit of thinking he can just whizz on the taxpayors and law-abiding citizens and then just turn around and walk away without consequence and this is what he hopes to do and he really, really hopes we will be like his liberals and dumbocraps and forget all about it and just give in.  Now is when we need to really kick him right in the face with this and leave him bleeding from his mistakes.  We cannot stop pounding his sorry fascist azz with this and we have to keep it up so that it follows him right into his next campaign and keeps biting at his heels.

He has the lying media on his side and he continues  to press them into service with mis-information.  The media sez there are only 1 million of us in nys when there are almost 5 million, actually, 4.75 of whom 65% or 3.08 million have said they will refuse to comply.  If we can get just 1% to muster we could force him out of albany and into nyc where we could leave him rot.  Our voice and protests can deny him access to upstate cities and crush his plans to campaign here - just this may indeed cost him his empire.  I do not expect any support for our efforts from anywhere downstate but I could be wrong - some who live downstate may be as fed up with his antics as we are and that may help us in the long run.

He may also fail, miserably I hope, on the 7 round magazine limitation unless he limits his cops to the same, which he cannot, and he cannot limit us without limiting them without violating the Equal Protection Act under the 14th Amendment (I believe).  So, we just have to keep at it and keep pounding him as hard as we can.  And we need to get away from wannabe politicians who simply do nothing for our cause, our image or us.  We need to find someone from upstate who will hammer his butt time and again and if it is in public debate, send him running for the protection of his podium like Romney did to hussein.  His time is coming and this is what he fears most - let's see what kind of nightmares we can give him that will keep him up at night.......

That was an attempt at irony...  Here's a man who, whatever his MOS is..has probably qualified with every infantry squad weapon..and likely more...    Then a city-slicker like Adolph Cuomo believes he can't trust a soldier who has already proven his loyalty!

  Personally; if anyone's loyalty to the country should be questioned, I would suspect the Lefties should be examined first.

11B with 17 years in on and off, and 3 combat tours,  and the M107 Barrett .50 Cal is my favorite shooter....I'm not bragging or tooting my own horn, just adding context to the conversation

Ironglow:  I was wondering who you were referring to.  I was a 12 Bravo D P and then a 31542 with PsyOps and Ranger.  30 mo in SE Asia and 20 mo in Latin and South America as a 31542 and 31566.  Preferred small arms and field intelligence.

  Mikey;
  Thank you for your service which is also much appreciated.  That tyrants don't trust their troops is a given; Stalin killed off most of his officer corps, just before WW2.  When communists take over a country, usually the "top dog" kills off any potential "reactionaries".
   One can easily tell if a dictator is in charge by watching their troops on parade..  If the troops have to march in a daffy "goose step",   ...there is a dictator in charge..

  Chung;
  Somebody like Cuomo, Obama or the sell-out "public servants" (of both parties) in Connecticut, are clearly begging for such a comparison.
  In case you haven't noticed, historically all such gun-grabbers have been tyrannical dictators..

  Mikey;
  Your service in central & South America...  You may have served with a friend of mine.  He is now a physician's assistant, but back then he was a medic with Special forces..  You likely served with him if you were involved with doing in the POS pictured below

Ironglow:  I may remember the name if you pm me with it.  I commanded a couple of teams in South America and each had a member or two from that team.  I also rmember a couple of 'civilians' who ran with that team and hung around Panama for a while after.

Ha!  One of the last times I saw Panama City it was through a scope on a M1D during one of their Oct 5 celebrations, when they were going to swarm over the canal zone and take it back, with their government issued machetes....... Fort Sherman - OMG, is that still there??
